The Leigh Matthews Trust

The life of LEIGH MATTHEWS was sadly and unnecessarily brought to a premature end when she was only 21 years of age. The community and the Country gave the Matthews family overwhelming support that helped them cope and deal with this tragedy.

Sadly not all our fellow countrymen get the same support or recognition. This motivated the setting up of this Trust. The Trust is in memory of Leigh Matthews and all victims of violent crime and started from the many donations received from well wishers in South Africa and around the world.

The Trust, is administered on a voluntary basis by Ivan May, John Doidge and Rob Matthews.

About the Logo

The Logo of The Trust was designed and donated by George Craig. It signifies the continuous motion of waves in the sea. An endless source of energy, hope and opportunity.
